Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

Immaculate Conception celebrated Catholic Schools Week with different activities, including a kick off Roller Skating Party on January 25. Each morning during the week, everyone gathered in the school gym for the morning announcement, prayer and pledge. Principal Nancy Ferrarone welcomed everyone and the 4th grade class of Mrs. Janet Kirkgasser led the prayer during the week. There were different themes each day celebrating community, students, the nation, vocation, family and parish day. A lot of  different activities were planned for the week like bowling for Kindergarten through sixth grade, the Living Rosary led by the sixth graders where each rosary bead was represented by a student, the Dads basketball Game (coached by Fr. Thomas Ryan and Principal Nancy Ferrarone), the Scholastic book fair, and ending the week was pajama and movie day. A special 50/50 raffle was held at the Dads Basketball Game and proceeds will be donated to the Road to Emmaus Ministry of Syracuse, Inc. A Sunday mass is scheduled on February 2nd at 9 am to culminate the Catholic Schools Week followed by an Open House at school.
